Antarctic Waves, Composition, Image Synthesiser

Howard Cheeseman, head of music at Caldew School in Cumbria, chooses top resources, which we put through their paces in the classroom.

Howards deliberates on:

  • Antarctic Waves, a CD-ROM developed by the British Antarctic Survey
  • The Composition Kit 1, published by spnm
  • Coagula, a downloadable image synthesiser

Charles Berthon from Impington Village College in Cambridge uses Antarctic Waves with a Year 10 class. Mark Horton, from Biddenham Upper School in Bedfordshire, experiments with Composition Kit 1. Howard Cheeseman introduces Coagula.

Back in studio at the Science Museum, presenter Hermione Cockburn discusses the resources with Howard and the Resource Review panel: Ray Barker, director of the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) and Adrienne Jones, a freelance education consultant.
